Alright. Now I know that turbostang is doing this build up as well but I know that its kind of on the back burner for him... well in the case for me.. its my MAIN priority right now. I placed the order for my turbos and my intercooler last week so they should be here very soon. I already have the headers.. Well to start I have a 93 Mustang GT Convertible. and I plan on making over 500whp. its my only street car and my first turbo mustang... well turbo anything lol. funny thing is... I have never even been in a turbo mustang yet. I have been around them. rode in a supercharged fox before.. but never a TURBO mustang lol. I am very pumped and excited about this entire build! I will be posting up pics through out the progress of my project Motor: 347 D.S.S rotating assembly shoved in a stock block forged dish pistons (dish bowl is shape of combustion chamber) Forged H beam rods cast steel crank. ProTopline heads. 200cc intake runners. 64cc chambers. 2.02 in. 1.60 ex. 1.60 comp cam roller rockers. trick flow stage 2 cam. Edelbrock RPM intake manifold 65mm throttle body. polished valve covers that need to be cleaned lol! trannsmission: rebuilt T-5 with alloy gears and those kinda goodies. Rear End: Stock 02 GT rear. FRPP 3.73's Induction: twin 60 trim.. t3/t4 turbos. .48 a/r compressor .60 a/r turbine Internal waste gate is set at 8.3 psi... but I plan to turn that up to atleast 12 ish. twin turbo headers... twin turbo intercooler Here are a couple pics of the car: -Alfonso

trick flow stage 2 cam.
FRPP 3.73's
Cam Spec's? Make sure its turbo friendly before you put the engine in . . . 3.73's possibly too much gear . . . .is there a plan/goal other than about 500hp? Usage Street, Strip? Being a convertible I wouldn't plan on too much fun a the strip, you'll get kicked out and told not to return until you have FULL cage. You are going to need injectors and engine management/tuning . . . .

Well its about equivalent to an x cam. although its got more exhaust lift. and 112 lsa. So I do plan on getting a custom cam in the future. but thats not on the agenda as of right now. Im focusing more on getting the turbo kit together and in my car. lol. Yeah I dont plan on ever taking it to the track... I would say maybe once but obviously get kicked off after that first run lol! So I would like to put a MM tubular K member and coil overs and do my suspension so that its more focused on on taking on the twisties. and sorry I forgot to mention that I am going to be running 42lb injectors and at first I will just do a basic tune to get me by and than I am going to do some sort of "flip chip" Although I will be going to some sort of standalone eventually

Im using I believe its an xspower blow of valve as well as an xspower boost controller. I will have to take pics of them when I get a chance... I will run it on the 8.3 wastegate in the beginning and see how it goes and than install the boost controller. Im sure it will pull really well on just 8.3 psi

Havent had any issues with the welds, but then again I wasnt boosting or running hard when IT was running LOL, it looks like very good quality, we'll just have to wait and see if it will support 600HP

I dont see why it wouldnt support over 600. thats what I want to make... I just dont want to push my block and than rip up my rotating assembly as I want to be able to retain most of it when I go to my boss block setup

HAHA sounds good to me brotha! I am expecting that my car should be on the road in less than a month. but I am also going to change the A arms on it and do some more suspension work while my car is down lol. but thanks for the wishes I definately wasnt trying to steal your thunder so to speak from your personal thread. I just figured this would be a Great way to document my first turbo build

LOL, No worries man. I have so many things to work on that I don't know when I'll ever get to my own stuff. I'm more than curious as to see how the turbo's hold up more than anything. The headers aren't that bad of quality, but only time will tell on both parts. I still have to put the shortblock together, port the heads, and get the converter re-stalled before I get to the turbo stuff. dammit.

Turbostang - I have had my ebay turbos a year now, and beat the absolute crap out of them last summer, no problems so far. I slowly went up to 17 pounds of boost last summer.
347 stang, Nice Car!
BTW, what the sellers decription for the turbos last year, when those turbos first came out on ebay, was completly wrong, and every single ebay seller had it listed the same way, maybe they fixed that over the last year, they look a little different this year. But they were advertising .48/.50 45 trim compressor, stage 3 wheel turbine, when I took my turbos apart, what I got was .60/.50 57 trim (compressor side) t04e turbos

How many miles are on them? What kind of power do you think it makes?

Only 500 total miles, but about 75 1/4 mile passes on my big driveway, 130+. I moved, so hopefully when I get it back together, I can make it over to Bristol and get it dynoed and see what it can do at the drag strip. My goal is to have a safe tune hopefully around 600 rwhp at 12 pounds on 93 octane.

Thanks for the link! I've heard numerous complaints about that kit NOT fitting with the accessories. I told them all along it will fit, HA! I knew it!
