Background:
My build started on an '87 T-top GT. Initial intentions were to do suspension upgrades for that car, since it already contained performance HCI. Not satisfied with my thirst for more power I looked towards including a power adder. At first I was interested in supercharging, but that grew old real quick when I started researching turbo's for SBF's and how rare they were at the time. There I decided I would be going with a turbo kit. After this sudden change in direction, I had to look towards beefing up the shortblock to safely maintain the extra power I would be producing. This led to the further desire of more power. I then started getting my heads worked and purchasing even more upgrades for my engine which ultimately lead to an entire shortblock assembly I put together and had worked by AAM. Of course all of this power has to have the fuel system and rear end assembly to go along, which lead me to that dent in the wallet. Now, considering the T-top GT wouldn't be a wise choice for a car with the power output I was planning on building, I looked towards my brothers stock '93. The cage had already been installed as there were previous plans for it that were never started. Everything was now set. This car has taken me two and a half years to build and everything aside from major machining was done by myself with the help from my dad, insight from my brother, and company from my dog Shorty. The build is in its last days of completion and I hope to have some numbers and times as soon as possible. Comments are welcome.
